After picking the squad the chairman of selector, Krishnamachari Srikkanth said that “We have selected the best team for Twenty20 world Cup. We are really pleased for performance of every member of the team. They have shown consistency.

“Everyone whose is stay on this squad now hundred percent fit for the T20 World Cup all the fitness certificates have been submitted to the Board”, he said.

The squad has five expert batsman in vice-captain Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambir, Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Signh and Suresh Raina.
